HPA Staff Information - come and help deliver Peak Assault

​

​

As you know Peak Assault 2024 is going to be a little different, however we still need as many staff members as we can get to ensure a scuccessful event for all.

 

Whatever your skills, we can use you at Peak Assault.

​

For the weekend of Peak Assault we need:

​

  • Hill/Course Marshals - Those who are comfortable in T1 & T2 Summer areas, you may have an Amateur Radio Licence

  • Walking Leaders - Those who have T1 permits or walk to the level of T1 and are comfortable teaching and leading young people.

  • Course Setting Team - To be available Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning.

  • Field Response Team - As Hill Marshals, but focussing in offering support to those who are injured or fall ill.

  • First Aid / Medical Team - For assessing and treating those injured and ill, once the FRT have recovered them.

  • Base Camp Team - Supporting the facilities and people at Base Camp, including coralling and managing kit check and start/finish areas and processes.

  • Overnight Team - Supporting the Explorers for their overnight camp separate from Base Camp

  • Administration Support - Assisting the registrar with managing all the attendee details, scoring and other related duties.

  • Transport Support - Support our transport manager with Coach and Minibus logistics over the weekend.

All staff on Peak Assault must be over 18 with a valid Scouting DBS and up to date Mandatory Ongoing Learning.

​

We require walking leaders to walk with some of the Explorer Teams, if you can help as a walking leader, you can also lead a training team as a pair. Please indicate in the booking process who you would like to pair with if this is your preference.

Please register by following the link below, from there you will have the option to book and pay. Health forms will be requested at a later date.

​

All staff and walking leaders pay a flat rate of £17, which includes Hot Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and Hot Evening Meal on Saturday.
